"Some stereotypes associated with my race are that we are lazy arrogant, selfish, or that we are uneducated violent, or racist. I don't believe everyone is like that, but most of us are. What racism means to me is any form of disrespect, hatred or stereotype towards a specific race or color."

"America is a melting pot that should accept all people, and so in a way there in no true standard, just personal judgements and prejudices. Culturally I identify as African-American I think Racism is when a racial group uses their influence, money or power to suppress or oppress another racial group. I would date outside my race, I feel as though it is an opportunity to educate yourself on a different culture and enlighten them on your culture as well."

"My definition of racism is not accepting someone or treating them differently because of their skin color or nationality. Racism has never affected me because I'm half black and half white so I'm usually accepted by both sides."

"I think racism is showing racism is showing hatred toward someone because they are different than you. When I came to the south I experienced racism for the first time when I was walking down the street and someone called me a nigger, which really upset me. But I would defiantly date outside my race because I’m mixed and I have all types of family member so I’m open."

"I'm just not attracted to people of a different color, but I think racism is talking bad about someone or making rude disturbing comments."

"My definition of racism is animosity or beef against someone who belongs to another race or because of their skin color. I would date someone outside my race because i believe color does not define us."

"Not every black person likes chicken, not every black person is ghetto, or has nappy hair, not every black person is the same. When cultures don't like each other because of who they are or what they do, that is racism."

"My definition of racism is when your prejudged by someone who dosen't know you because of your specific race. I would date someone outside my race, were all the same human race."

"I'm considered Bajuan-American and even though I was born in America, I embrace both cultures. I define racism as a disease passed in about the hate of another people due to ignorance. I once had a college professor tell me that she liked the way "you people" braid your hair, and how strong I must have been to make it out the ghetto. I came from a middle class home where both parents were teachers.I believe in order to understand and end racism we have to experience other cultures first hand."

"I am black white and hispanic and it mean the world to me. It defines me as an individual. I've been called a mutt and also told that I couldn't sucess in life because i have black blood in me, but everyones blood is blue until it hits the oxygen. I was created by God, just the way he wanted me."
